Factor (GCF) –

EXAMPLES

Hollywood Squares
Factoring by Grouping Clue 1: 4 terms Clue 2: 2 pairs of terms with a GCF
Steps for Factoring with Grouping 1. Check polynomial for GCF & factor out. 2. Split polynomial into two pairs . 3. Factor out GCF from each pair. 4. Look for common binomial . 5. Rewrite with common binomial times other factors in a binomial. 6. Check using FOIL.
