adding variables with square roots

Hi gals and guys I require some guidance to solve this adding variables with square roots which I’m unable to do on my own. My test on math is due and I need help to work on inverse matrices, system of equations and proportions . I’m also thinking of hiring a math tutor but they are expensive. So I would be greatly grateful if you can extend some guidance in solving the problem.

I didn’t encounter that Algebrator program yet but I heard from my friends that it really does assist in solving algebra problems. Since then, I noticed that my peers don’t really have troubles solving some of the problems in class. It might really have been effective in improving their solving skills in math .
