You might want to check out Algebrator. I bought it some time back to help me with my Intermediate algebra course and I can say that it was really a wise decision. There are so many examples provided which you can browse through. You can also try out the questions related to rational equations and inequalities by just typing them in. Algebrator provides complete description to the problems which helps to make difficult concepts very clear. I would say that this program is absolutely the best that money can buy.

I would just add a note to what has been posted above. Algebrator no doubt is the most useful tool one could have. Always use it as a reference and a means to learn and never to cheat.

distance of points, greatest common factor and radicals were a nightmare for me until I found Algebrator, which is really the best algebra program that I have come across. I have used it through many math classes – Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Basic Math. Just typing in the algebra problem and clicking on Solve, Algebrator generates step-by-step solution to the problem, and my algebra homework would be ready. I really recommend the program.
