prentice hall pre-algerbra california edition is my worst problem. Can some one assist me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

You might want to try out Algebrator . I bought it some time back to help me with my Algebra 1 course and I can say that it was really a wise decision. There are so many demos present which you can go through. You can also try out the questions related to function definition and inequalities by just typing them in. Algebrator provides comprehensive description to the problems which helps to make difficult concepts understandable. I would say that this program is absolutely the best that money can buy.

I too have had problems in algebra formulas, converting decimals and solving inequalities. I was told that there are a number of programs that I could try out. I tried out several but then the finest that I found was Algebrator . Simply keyed in the problem and hit the ‘solve’. I got the answer right away. On top of it, I was steered through to the answer by an easily comprehensible step-by-step process. I have relied on this program for my difficulties with Pre Algebra, Basic Math and Algebra 1. If I were you, I would certainly go for this Algebrator .

I remember having often faced difficulties with percentages, long division and function definition. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem homework a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Remedial Algebra, College Algebra and Pre Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
