Friends, I am in need of help on powers, matrices, distance of points and rational inequalities. Since I am a beginner to Intermediate algebra, I really want to learn the basics of Pre Algebra completely. Can anyone suggest the best resource with which I can begin reading the basics? I have a midterm next week.

I must agree that Algebrator is a cool thing and the best software of this kind you can get. I was thrilled when after weeks of anger I simply typed in proportions and that was the end of my problems with math. It's also great that you can use the program for any level: I have been using it for several years now, I used it in Algebra 1 and in College Algebra as well! Just try it and see it for yourself!
